      Wimsett sets crochetists up for success with this book filled with 16 adorable, customizable projects for baby security blankets with amigurumi animal additions: giraffes, bears, foxes, horses. All projects offer substitutions and adaptations, like a frog (prince) that can be paired with 3-D water lilies and a crown or flat lotus blocks and a ram that, without its horns, can be turned into a sheep. Other patterns include a red-nosed reindeer and a blue mythical dragon that is over-the-top cute. Each pattern has a QR code that links to helpful videos. The book's how-to section includes explanatory paragraphs matched to clear pictures, which illustrate not only how to create each item but also how to assemble the components of the final product. These lovey-and-blanket sets use a variety of stitches and patterns, and most rows and rounds end with a stitch count. VERDICT A gush-worthy crochet title containing projects that can be personalized and enlarged; a must-add.--Sarah Sieg
