Though he's spent years resisting his attraction to the beautiful attorney, he knows that joining forces might be their only hope to keep them both alive--if it's not already too late. VERDICT Readers of the "Honor Bound" books from Stewart (Prison Break Hostage) will enjoy seeing past series characters play a role here; however, new readers may feel lost at times, not understanding their shared history or Jason and Kyla's backgrounds. Ultimately, this one is best read as part of the series rather than a stand-alone story.--Rebecca Moe
