PROBABLY SMART N NU • Daniel Reed piloted 5-year-old gelding Probably Smart N Nu to the ARHFA Sun Circuit heeling title in 2024, beating 103 heel horses with a score of 915.17 on four head, worth $10,800, plus another $1,000 for a go-round placing. Probably Smart N Nu is owned by Chris Sutton and by Smart Nu Shiner out of Probably Red Buck.

THAT'S THREE • Paul David Tierney notched his third Cinch Timed Event Championship in a decade when he won the 40th edition of the storied Lazy E event March 3. Tierney's total Timed Event earnings hit $388,500 with the $104,000 Tierney took home in 2024. He had the help of Kollin VonAhn heeling, Logan Olson heading and Kody Woodward hazing.

GLOBAL HANDICAPS 2023 SUMMARY

(At Home With) • Ketch Kelton of Mayer, Arizona, won his second straight Jr Ironman Championship at the Lazy E Arena in March. The 18-year-old timed-event cowboy is the son of three-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo team roper Chance Kelton, who's also roped at five National Finals Steer Ropings, and his wife, Tammy.
