ALL THEY DO IS WIN WIN WIN • Andrew Ward and Buddy Hawkins picked up their third massive win of the year when they won the 2022 Resistol Reno Open June 18, worth $100,000. Believe it or not, that $100K is their third biggest check of the year, behind their $100,000-per-man American Rodeo win in March and their $130,000 split at the Lone Star Shootout in February. This marked the final time BFI owners Ullman-Peterson Productions will host an event in the storied Reno Livestock Event Center, where Bob Feist (pictured, center) moved his BFI decades earlier.

BIG HIT • Kyle Reed and Bradley Ball won $21,690 in the #10.5 Bloomer Trailer Ariat World Series of Team Roping Qualifier in Athens, Texas, June 19, with a time of 33.97 seconds on four head.

HONORING THE FALLEN • Kaleb Driggers and Wesley Thorp won the 2022 Danny Dietz Memorial Classic with a time of 32.46 seconds on five head, worth $12,360. Driggers also won second with Junior Nogueira for another $10,250 on May 28. The Danny Dietz Memorial Classic is an annual event that honors fallen Navy Seal Danny Dietz, with money raised providing grants to special operators in all branches of the military and first responders injured in the line of duty, as well as surviving family members.

(At Home With) • Casey Lambert has worn a lot of different hats in our Western world. He grew up on the racetrack, and won nearly 3,400 races as a Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse jockey. He's also spent much of his life in rodeo and roping arenas, as both a bull rider and a team roper. Lambert, who'll turn 57 on August 24, lives with his wife, Brandi, in his native El Paso, Texas.
